Wigs will still fit just fine—the overall head size remains consistent with all Smart Dolls, as we’re keeping the same orange head cap. The difference lies more in the proportions of the chin and the neck hole rather than the actual size of the head itself.

This is a prototype of an "adapter bust" that provides a slightly more natural look for pear heads on a classic body.

We are also working on an adapter bust for the pear bodies to see if the aesthetic will work for classic heads too.

Is this something you are interested in? Or not your cuppa tea?

It looks like there isn’t much interest in this concept as a product—but no worries! Here’s the free STL data for the Classic Body Adapter Bust (for Pear head). Feel free to modify it, use it for your own Smart Doll projects, or even as a hybrid with other brands. You’re also welcome to sell it if you like.

We originally planned to release this chap with a red wig, but it’s taking a bit longer to prepare. While we’re confident the final version will resemble our prototypes, unexpected setbacks could still delay its release.

In the meantime, he’ll be released with the Parting Fringe Black Wig. Just a heads-up—we can’t promise that a version with the red wig will be made available in the future if production doesn’t go according to keikaku (keikaku means plan).

Here’s another candidate for the new G11 sculpt. We’re planning to try one more version before deciding which one will make it into production first.

The wig featured here is a prototype—a modified version of the Long Black Braid. Whether it makes it into production is still up in the air, as we’re currently wrestling with how to curl the ends inward consistently.

Like most things in doll-making (or any production), creating a one-off is relatively straight forward—but ensuring that consistency across hundreds of units is where things get tricky. It involves a lot of hair pulling - which might explain why I’ve lost all my hair over the past 10 years ;-)

Do you prefer this candidate or the one I posted the other day?

We just got some test shots for the guys body in the regular hard-grade sofubi and will be continuing tests. But for now, they will remain soft-grade sofubi.

The Rekall Bust and Rekall Floral Bikini are now available.

The Rekall Bust is compatible with both the Default and Peach Classic body types. As of this writing, the only apparel specifically designed for the Rekall Bust is the Rekall Floral Bikini.

However, while the trio of boobs does add a bit of width, most apparel made for the Classic body should still fit—though it may be a snug fit in some cases. Items like bikinis or fitted tops made for two boobs may result in one of them pulling a bit of a peek-a-boob moment.
