Regarding the "Smart Doll 200%" naming convention - we’ve seen suggestions like Mega, Ultra, or Pro, but those terms mean different things to different people and don’t lend themselves well to a clear, scalable system. Likewise, for future smaller sizes, terms like Mini or Nano would raise similar questions.
If we ever release a human-sized Smart Doll, 400% would make the most sense following 200%. So we’re sticking with percentage-based naming, using the classic Smart Doll as the 100% reference point—a simple, scalable system that sets the tone for what’s to come - but admittedly not as catchy as Smart Doll Mega or Smart Doll Tardigrade ;-)
On the technical side, we’ve been working for nearly a decade to develop a frame strong enough to support the increased weight of Smart Doll 200%. And now, we’re almost there.
The challenge has always been creating a modular body that fits in a rucksack without compromising stability. That’s now possible thanks to our new jeton sliding joint system, which allows the arms and shins to detach while maintaining structural integrity—making Smart Doll 200% truly travel-ready.
We don’t plan to open general sales anytime soon, as they’re extremely labor-intensive. Casting even a few body sets requires halting the entire line due to mold size, so we’re still figuring out how to fit them into our packed production schedule.
For now, our focus will be on working with Smart Doll Outpost creators who have been helping us field-test these dolls in real-world conditions.
