With R&D for the larger Smart Dolls (roughly 200% the size of the current ones) in full swing, we’ve ended up with a fair share of parts—some used in testing, others rejected due to QC issues. These will be added to the Chaos outlet as Smart Doll Plus R&D Parts.
Even though we’ve officially named them “Smart Doll 200%,” the term “Plus” stuck around during production—because let’s face it, “200%” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. So, we’re going back to calling them Smart Doll Plus, while using “200% scale” for context.
Because the parts are massive, we can’t sell them the same way we do with vinyl component sets. Instead, we’re filling entire doll boxes with random parts and offering each box for 80,000 JPY. We only have 13 of these boxes right now. If you order two or more, they will be shipped out on different days.
With a bit of luck from the universe, you might end up with the pieces needed to complete a full vinyl body—but we’re not guaranteeing that. Some boxes contain old frame bits, prototype joints made from off-the-shelf parts, and 3D-printed components that didn’t make it into the final design. Some of these parts have been used for R&D, so they may have cuts or openings that we experimented with for frame compatibility.
Please don’t purchase expecting to build a complete doll from a single box—these are truly random. If you score a head, it could be great for face-up practice. If you pull a set of large bust with headlights… maybe they’ll come in handy for building a sandcastle this summer. The possibilities are yours to imagine.
